Last week I decided to get my hands on a new Quick60
Carbon Heli. I've been slowly putting it together however I have run
into some problems that I hope that someone can help me with, one of the
first things is that the manual I had to print out for the heli doesn't
mention anything about having to cut the tail boom supports, I say this
because mine are so long that the tail rotor blades hit the horizontal
fin no matter which of the three mounting holes I try to use. I wasn't
expecting this, so following the directions before hand I had already
drilled and CA glued the end caps on the damn things before I realized
this was a problem. I know that I had pushed the end caps on all the
way, so that's not the problem, and the tail boom is pulled back so that
there is tension on the drive belt, so did I miss something here?
Another possible problem that I am having is with the main gear, in
conjuction with the gear above the clutch housing and the gear for the
drive belt, the main drive gear will not go up high enough so that it
does not rub on the clutch housing, i've checked and re-checked the
bearings and made sure that the clutch spacer is in the right position,
still nowhere, and I know I don't want to run it like that.
Anyone else know of any known issues with the Quick 60? I would really
like to get this thing completed, but I am starting to have it more and
more apart that anything else.
I would appreciate any help on this one.
