這架104是由電動EDF轉換成噴射JET動力相當成功的例子，不過機主加拿大籍肖恩事前可是作足了功課。

104電動EDF動力首航影片

104電動EDF動力→乾燥重量是10.5KG，                                                  EDF風扇推力是6.8KG，2011-07-15首航
104噴射JET動力→乾燥重量是10KG〈22磅〉〈+油料80 盎司約2.3公斤〉   K-100G噴射推力是10KG，2013-04-08首航

基本上電動EDF動力是持續消耗推力〈飛行時電壓下降〉，而噴射JET動力是越飛越有力〈飛行時油料重量減輕〉
肖恩兄2012.07.偶然得知偶滴104重達27磅飛行還很OK後〈現在28.5磅 13公斤〉便信心十足，想要進行動力轉換機體補強，之後偶建議他補強後使用K-100G為進階動力〈當時K-100G尚在研發中〉，現在成功首航後他發現K-100G油耗比KINGTECH官方數據更省，所以.......他也有K-140裝置在他另外一架30磅重滴獵人上呦。

Congrats on the F-104! I'm VERY impressed, especially since your dry weight is over 27lbs. Just goes to show that there IS lift on this missile. I read that 2/3's of the lift comes off the fuselage, but then that would make sense as there is very little wing.
I've been flying my Avonds F104 under electric power and am currently converting it over to kero. As an electric RTF it was 22lbs, and of course landed at that weight too. It will have the new K100 in it if becomes available soon. Sounds like they have been released overseas so they should be here soon. I'm guessing my dry weight will be about 19lbs (it's 15lbs with no lipos/fan, etc).
I'm looking forward to the longer flight time, lighter landing weight, and of course the sound.
Thanks for the inspiration.....I never get tired of seeing the F-104!
